Why do other manufactures have so many different depths to choose from? Until now you had to play different cup depths and backbores to try and get the sound that you desire. You can try as many as you can afford and yet the results are minimal if any. So, you finally lose hope and pick one with a little “e-nee me-nee mine-nee moe”, and settle for the one you THINK you like best and HOPE will be the best. But you quickly find that the results you desired for increased range and richness of tone never happen. Well you’re not alone. Everyone has been down that road. That road stops here!

With the Xstream Mouthpiece you only need to buy the top that corresponds with the inside diameter that you are comfortable playing. Xstream was designed with a top that is balanced to every backbore delivering you the sound you desire and simplifying the choosing process.

B Models – This model is based off the Bach mouthpiece with a similar bowl shaped cup as well as the rim. While still using the Xstream Power Chamber Design. The B designation was designed with the Orchestral and Jazz musician in mind, giving them a robust sound while still maintaining a more open and flexible upper register with added projection. X Models –This is a shallow half cup top with a reverse radius entering the throat of the mouthpiece. The X designation was designed for commercial players that need that extra edge and projection to their sound. You can get a less edgy sound by combining this top with either our XX or XXF backbore. (Only available in Models E-5)

XX Models – This is a Medium depth cup with a reverse radius design. The XX designation was designed for a player that needs more depth inside the cup, but still maintains a bright sound with excellent projection. (Available in all sizes)

SJ Models –This is our deepest cup. Available in either a standard bowl shaped cup or with the reverse radius cup design. The SJ designation was designed with the Jazz and Symphonic musician in mind, giving them a robust sound while still maintaining a more flexible upper register with good projection. (Available in all sizes)

BACKBORES

Xstream Brass Instrument Mouthpieces have no equal! From the venturi cup and patent pending Power Chamber designs to their unique sound targeted backbores, Xstream mouthpieces are the first to challenge the old school mentality.

You can achieve a darker or brighter sound by simply changing backbores, eliminating the need to play a very shallow or very deep mouthpiece. So instead of sacrificing your range by playing a deep cup to get a darker sound or sacrificing your lower register to play high with a shallow cup, you only need the Xstream Top and backbore of your choice. Xstream Backbores are balanced with your Xstream Top providing you your desired sound without having to sacrifice the lower or upper register of your instrument.

XXF - The Double XF backbore was designed for players who demand even more powerful traditional sound! The XXF backbore lets you move more air than our other backbore, creating a bigger and more powerful sound!
